Map-trip home to Honningsvaag
THE OLD FARM: The name of the original homested of your Honningsvaag family was Indre (Inner) Honningsvaag. Indre Honningsvåg was original 60 dekar pastures plus grazing and outfield. The farm was first split in two farms, later into four equal-sized farms of 15 dekar pastures: Fagervoll (Gudmund Honningsvaag), Fagerheim (Joakim Honningsvaag), Joheim (Anfinn Honningsvaag) and Jogarden (William Honningsvaag). The place Honningsvaag is the small fjord at the very top of the peninsula, called Stadt og Stadlandet, pointing out in the north Sea, on the south side of Vanylvsfjorden.
Her are some more map-links for your information: Honningsvaag and Fluevog and Hoddevik. And also the main village in Stadlandet is Leikanger where you find Leikanger church. A lot of our family are buried there, but also at the small graveyard close to Ervik church are lot of Honningsvaag-family buried.

NB: There is also another place named Honningsvåg (Honningsvaag/ Honningsvog) in Norway. Thats the city Honningsvåg up north, in Finnmark county. That place has nothing else common with "our" Honningsvåg in the west coast of Norway, than the name.
