Air Force life

In this story Lloyd tells about his time as a Sergeant in WW2. He tells us that he was sent by Mauretania from Halifax together with 13,500 troops to Gloucester, England.

After few days there, he was sent to his station in Middleton St. George in Yorkshire, England.

It's difficult to find the exact date when Lloyd and Mauretania left Halifax. Maybe the ship first went out from New York and then dropped by Halifax before going to Liverpool. Mauretania left NY 1944 28 August. The ship also went from NY 1944 9 January and 1944 22 April.

And listen to the stories of Ruth Master and Bruce Agnew.

Lloyds was Close to Churchill may 8 1945
