This is what Don writes about the trip to his aunt Elma: We finished our trip to California having a lunch and wine tasting with Aunt Elma Burlingame and her son Doug Cameron.
One of 8 children of Anna Honningsvaag Erickson and Elmer Erickson. Elma still lives in one of the iconic row houses that has made San Francisco famous. Elma will be 94 years old on Nov. 27th 2021.

Growing up in Alberta, there was plenty of work for everyone whether it be in the house, garden, or farm. Elma favored working outside milking the cows, feeding the pigs, haying, and threshing chores.
According to brother John Erickson, this petite sister of his would often terrify their mother when she raced bareback out the driveway on the fastest horse on the farm!
Doug, who lives close by, has been teaching and sometimes performing guitar for 30 years. The Covid virus has significantly changed his teaching method so that most instruction is online through Zoom.
He is also working on a book on guitar instruction. We had a short but wonderful time visiting. It is hard to believe the virus has kept the family apart and in fear for almost 2 years. A reminder that we must all call family and friends to keep in touch.
